Pozzallo is a cute place in the Ragusa region, it is placed in Oriental Sicily. You would love to know that four beaches in Pozzallo received the Blue Flag award by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). The Blue Flag is a prestigious award given to beaches which meet strong and strict criteria for water quality, environmental information / education  and safety. 

Pozzallo is also a big port with links between Sicily and Malta. You can take a nice trip to visit Malta in only 90 minutes by high speed ferry.

About kite-surf in Pozzallo, it is a windy place with beaches larges many kilometers. As Sicily spot, Pozzallo is a very safe place to practice Kite-surfing as the sea has low deep, so, in the sea you are able to  touch the sand with your feet.  

In most lucky months you can find wind and than practice kite 20 days monthly. In this kite surf spot the most used kite sizes are 9 and 7, but also 10-12 meters are useful in presence of low wind. In the summer, August, normally  10 or 12 meters kites are needed also, but in the winter kites of 7, 8  and 9 meters are enough.

The most surfed wind is the Libeccio with south west wind direction, but also south  direction is fine to practice  kite-surf close to Pozzallo. 

 Instead to have cool kitesurf day with east wind direction you have to move to Marina di Ragusa. Anyway as Pozzallo is so windy place, normally you rest when wind direction change, Libeccio (south west ) is more than enough to practice kite in this wonderful area.

In this coast you can also practice surf, most common places are located around 40 kilometers from Pozzallo, in the area of Marina di Ragusa.
